    The only ground she works, on a weekly 3D2N loop with departure dates published across the full year. Pickup is at nine, sailing to Kelor for the trek by eleven, Manjarite to snorkel in the early afternoon, then Kalong for the flying foxes at half four. Day two starts on the Padar ridge at six, then Pink Beach, the Komodo Island dragon trek at half eleven, Manta Point at half two and Taka Makassar before sunset. Day three is a snorkel at Sebayur at eight and back in port by midday. Longer charters up to six nights add Siaba, Rangko Cave, Seraya and Sabolo or Bidadari.

    Who This Suits

    Suits: groups of six or fewer. The headcount banding means a party that stays at six pays IDR 15 to 20 million less than one that adds a seventh guest, and at twelve berths across five cabins the boat is small enough to feel private without charter money for twenty.

    Also works for: solo travellers and pairs on the weekly open trip. Kelimutu is a sharing cabin sold by the berth from IDR 6,500,000 per person, which is rare on a boat marketed as VIP.

    Less suited to: divers on a budget, and anyone planning long crossings. The diving price list runs two-thirds above the leisure one for the same days, and 6,000 litres of fresh water with no watermaker listed keeps her on short park loops rather than runs to Alor or the Banda Sea.

    About This Vessel

    Mosalaki is a 28-metre phinisi built from ironwood and balau, carrying twelve guests across five cabins named after Flores landmarks: Adonara, Larantuka, Wae Rebo, Lamalera and Kelimutu. Adonara is the master cabin, Larantuka, Wae Rebo and Lamalera are private doubles, and Kelimutu is a sharing cabin, which is unusual on a boat sold at this level.

    All five are air-conditioned with ensuite bathrooms and hot water. Common space runs to an indoor air-conditioned dining room, a lounge with a proper audio system, a rooftop sundeck and outdoor chill areas at deck level. Starlink covers the boat.

    She runs a Mitsubishi 8DC with 30 kVA and 15 kVA generators, cruises at twelve knots, and carries 6,000 litres of fresh water, which is the constraint that keeps her on short park itineraries rather than long crossings.

    The part worth understanding before enquiring is how she is priced. Charter is quoted per package, not per night, and split into two headcount bands: one rate for one to six guests and a higher one for seven to twelve. Diving is not an upgrade to the leisure rate but an entirely separate and much more expensive price list. She sails a weekly 3D2N loop out of Labuan Bajo with dates published across the whole year, and takes charters from a single day up to six nights.

      Mosalaki prices charter by package rather than by night, and splits every package into two headcount bands. Conversions below use roughly IDR 16,800 to the dollar as at August 2026.

      Leisure charter, one to six guests: IDR 82,000,000 for a day trip, 127,000,000 for 2D1N, 152,000,000 for 3D2N, 192,000,000 for 4D3N, 227,000,000 for 5D4N, 262,000,000 for 6D5N. For seven to twelve guests the same packages are 87, 137, 167, 212, 252 and 292 million. The gap between the bands is IDR 15,000,000 on the 3D2N and IDR 20,000,000 on the 4D3N, so a party of six is materially cheaper than a party of seven.

      Diving charter is a separate and much steeper price list, not an add-on to the leisure rate. One to six guests: IDR 187,000,000 for 2D1N, 247,000,000 for 3D2N, 322,000,000 for 4D3N, 387,000,000 for 5D4N, 462,000,000 for 6D5N. Seven to twelve guests: 267, 367, 472, 582 and 687 million. On the 4D3N that is IDR 322,000,000 against IDR 192,000,000 for the same trip without tanks.

      The charter figure shown on this page is the 4D3N leisure package for one to six guests, about USD 11,430, which is the three-night equivalent used across this directory. Worth noting: third-party listings quoting Mosalaki at roughly USD 6,300 to 6,500 per night are quoting the diving rate, not the leisure rate. The leisure package works out closer to USD 3,800 per night.

      Open-trip cabins on the weekly 3D2N schedule start from IDR 6,500,000 per person depending on cabin, about USD 387 for the trip or USD 193 per person per night.

      Included in charter packages: air-conditioned ensuite cabins, full-board meals, lounge and dining areas, rooftop sundeck and outdoor chill areas, water heater, audio system, and snorkelling and diving gear.

      Not included: Komodo National Park entrance fees and airport transfers, both of which the operator lists as optional add-ons rather than standard, which differs from most boats in this directory. Flights, alcohol, insurance, personal expenses and crew tips are also extra. A drone permit for the park runs around IDR 2,100,000 per unit per day and must be requested seven days ahead.

      Booking is a 30 per cent deposit with the balance due 60 days before departure. Crew numbers are not published.

      One inconsistency to flag: the operator's own booking FAQ invites enquiries for up to 22 guests, while every specification and cabin listing on the same site caps the vessel at 12. Treat 12 as the real figure and confirm if you are planning a larger group.

    • A 1,000-visitor daily quota has applied since 1 April 2026 to the main visitor islands and 23 dive sites. Availability therefore depends on the travel date and registered itinerary.
    • The final SiOra total can include entrance, activity, vessel and special-use charges. Ask the handling operator for an itemised total before issuance.
    • Official public guidance does not state one universal refund or rescheduling rule for every reservation. Confirm the current SiOra terms in writing before the ticket is issued, including treatment of weather disruption.

    Statutory fees under Peraturan Pemerintah No. 36 Tahun 2024, in force since 30 October 2024. Verified 31 August 2026 against the official PP 36/2024 schedule, the Ministry of Forestry SiOra notice and the Ministry’s 2026 quota notice. Amounts are payable in rupiah; dollar figures are courtesy estimates converted at Rp 17,900 and rounded.

    Why does a group of seven pay more than a group of six?

    Because charter is banded, not per person. Every package has one price for one to six guests and a higher price for seven to twelve. On the 3D2N that step is IDR 15,000,000 and on the 4D3N it is IDR 20,000,000. If your group is on the edge, the seventh guest is expensive.

    Is diving included in the charter price?

    No, and this catches people out. Diving is a completely separate price list rather than an upgrade. A 4D3N leisure charter for up to six guests is IDR 192,000,000; the same trip as a diving charter is IDR 322,000,000. Any quote you see near USD 6,300 per night for this boat is the diving rate.

    Can I book a single berth?

    Yes, on the weekly 3D2N open departures. Kelimutu is a sharing cabin sold by the berth, with prices from IDR 6,500,000 per person depending on which cabin you take. The other four cabins are private doubles.

    Are park fees and airport transfers included?

    No. The operator lists both Komodo National Park entrance fees and Labuan Bajo airport transfers as optional add-ons rather than standard inclusions, which is different from most boats on this list. Budget for them separately.

    How far can she sail?

    Komodo National Park, and not much beyond. She carries 6,000 litres of fresh water with no watermaker in the published specification, so itineraries stay inside the park on loops of one to six nights rather than crossing to Alor, the Banda Sea or Raja Ampat.

    How many guests does she really take?

    Twelve. The specification, the cabin list and the price bands all cap at twelve across five cabins. The booking FAQ on the operator site mentions enquiries for up to 22 guests, which does not match anything else they publish, so confirm before planning around it.
