Who handles site information

Komodo Insider operates this website as a travel directory. For privacy questions or requests, use the contact form with the subject “Privacy request.” The directory covers Labuan Bajo and Komodo, but this is not a postal or business-office address.

Information we receive

• Accounts and submissions: information you enter during registration, account use, listing submission or listing claims, including contact and business details. Account credentials are used for sign-in.
• Messages: your name, email address, subject and message when you use the contact form. Please do not send payment card details or sensitive documents through it.
• Technical use: browser and device details, IP address, security and access logs, and cookies needed for login and site features. The site loads Google Tag Manager; tags and analytics behavior can change, so review your browser controls and this policy for updates.

How we use and share it

We use information to operate accounts and listing tools, answer messages, verify or correct submissions, maintain site security and understand how the directory is used. A published listing can make the details submitted for publication visible to readers. We do not send a contact-form message to a tour operator merely because you used our editorial form. If you choose an outbound booking link or contact an operator directly, that provider handles the information you send under its own policy.

Site hosting, email delivery and other necessary service providers may process information to provide those services. We do not collect trip payments through the directory. External websites linked from listings may use their own cookies and data practices.

Cookies, retention and your choices

Login and preference cookies help accounts and site features work. You can manage cookies in your browser; disabling essential cookies can affect sign-in. We retain account, submission, message and technical information for as long as needed to run the relevant function, resolve a request and meet applicable obligations; a request for deletion can be reviewed against those needs.

You can request access, correction or deletion of information associated with you through the contact form. Include enough detail to locate the record without sending sensitive documents in the first message. We may need to verify that a request concerns your own information. Changes

When data handling or site features change, we will update this page and its review date. For questions about a particular provider’s booking data, contact that provider directly.
