    The only ground she works, on a fixed 3D2N loop leaving Friday and Monday. Pickup is early, eight to nine thirty, so day one gets Kelor for the trek and Manjarite for snorkelling before the Kalong sunset. Day two is the full park run: Padar at first light, then Pink Beach, the dragons on Komodo Island, Taka Makassar and Manta Point. Day three closes with a snorkel at Siaba or Sebayur, back in port by noon. The operator publishes departure dates through to January 2028.

    About This Vessel

    Raffles Cruise is a 33-metre, 160-tonne phinisi working Komodo National Park out of Labuan Bajo on a fixed twice-weekly schedule. Six cabins in four grades, twelve to eighteen guests, and a crew of eight.

    The cabin plan splits across two decks with a balcony room on each. Malacca 1 sits on the upper deck with a queen bed, a private balcony and a jacuzzi, and takes up to four guests. Malacca 2 is its counterpart on the main deck, again a queen with a private balcony but a bathtub in place of the jacuzzi, taking three. The two Borneo cabins share the upper deck as straight queen doubles, and the two Java cabins do the same on the main deck with room for a third guest. All six are ensuite ocean-view cabins with air conditioning.

    Deck space is the part that sets her apart from boats at the same money. The outdoor relax area carries bean bags and a mini golf set, there are separate indoor and outdoor dining areas, and the indoor lounge doubles as a bar with sofas, a TV and a karaoke rig.

    Mechanically she runs a Mitsubishi 8DC16 at eight to fifteen knots with a Mitsubishi PS 100 generator, carrying 9,000 litres of fresh water and 4,000 litres of fuel, with a fibreglass tender on a 40 hp Yamaha. Navigation covers compass, GPS, AIS and EPIRB, and safety equipment includes a 50-person life raft. There is no dive centre on board; snorkelling, paddleboarding and island treks are the water programme.

      Shared 3D2N trips start at approximately $520 per person in the Java Cabin. This is the fare for the full three-day, two-night trip, based on a minimum booking of 2 people in that cabin category. Extra-bed prices are separate.

      Private leisure charter starts at approximately $6,145 for the whole vessel on the minimum published 2D1N package, for 1–4 guests. Larger groups, longer trips and diving packages may have different rates.

    • Payment is cashless through the methods available in SiOra, including BRIVA or bank transfer and supported e-wallets. Keep the e-ticket and ensure the traveller details are correct.
    • A 1,000-visitor daily quota has applied since 1 April 2026 to the main visitor islands and 23 dive sites. Availability therefore depends on the travel date and registered itinerary.
    • The final SiOra total can include entrance, activity, vessel and special-use charges. Ask the handling operator for an itemised total before issuance.
    • Official public guidance does not state one universal refund or rescheduling rule for every reservation. Confirm the current SiOra terms in writing before the ticket is issued, including treatment of weather disruption.

    Statutory fees under Peraturan Pemerintah No. 36 Tahun 2024, in force since 30 October 2024. Verified 31 August 2026 against the official PP 36/2024 schedule, the Ministry of Forestry SiOra notice and the Ministry’s 2026 quota notice.     Which cabins have a balcony?

    Two, and they sit on different decks. Malacca 1 is on the upper deck with a private balcony and a jacuzzi. Malacca 2 is on the main deck with a private balcony and a bathtub. The two Borneo and two Java cabins are ocean-view but have no outdoor space of their own.

    How much is a third or fourth guest?

    $390 per person in Malacca 1, which takes four in total, and in Malacca 2, which takes three. In the Java cabins the third guest is $335. The two Borneo cabins are strictly two-person with no extra bed.

    When does she sail?

    Twice a week from Labuan Bajo on the 3D2N loop, Friday to Sunday and Monday to Wednesday, with the calendar published through to the start of 2028. Pickup on day one is early, between eight and nine thirty.

    Is there diving on board?

    No. Raffles has no dive centre, compressor or dive guide. The water programme is snorkelling, a canoe and a paddleboard, all included in the fare. Manta Point appears on the itinerary as a snorkel stop.

    What is on deck?

    An outdoor relax area with bean bags and a mini golf set, separate indoor and outdoor dining areas, and an indoor lounge that doubles as a bar with sofas, a TV and karaoke. The mini golf is unusual on a boat this size.

    Why do the specifications differ between websites?

    Because the agents selling her publish different specification sheets. One has her at 33 metres, built 2023, with a Mitsubishi 8DC16 and eight crew; another at 31 metres, built 2025, with a Mitsubishi 8DC9. This page follows the more complete of the two, but ask the operator to confirm length, build year and capacity in writing before booking.
