Manta Mae at a Glance

Manta Mae is a 30.5-metre wooden phinisi built in Indonesia for private expeditions through Komodo, Raja Ampat and other eastern Indonesian cruising grounds. Built in 2014 and refitted in 2021, the yacht combines a distinctive red-sail profile with five individually designed cabins for up to 12 guests.

A Mitsubishi 8DC9 twin-turbo 350 HP engine supports a published cruising speed of approximately 8 knots. Navigation equipment includes Furuno radar and multiple Garmin and Furuno GPS units. The yacht carries 6,000 litres of freshwater and operates with two rigid inflatable tenders.

Five Cabins for Up to 12 Guests

The current five-cabin layout comprises the Dita Master Cabin, two Deluxe Cabins named Sophia and Brigitte, the Charlize Twin Cabin and the Marylin Bunk Cabin. Every cabin is air-conditioned and has bathroom facilities; the published layout reaches 12 guests when the two Deluxe Cabins use their additional single berths.

Dita has a king bed for two. Sophia and Brigitte each combine a queen bed with an additional single berth for up to three guests. Charlize has two single beds, while Marylin provides a two-berth bunk arrangement. Confirm the intended bed allocation and bathroom arrangement for the selected sailing before payment.

Diving, Water Sports and Tenders

Manta Mae supports diving and is published with Nitrox availability. Two rigid inflatable tenders handle dive transfers and shore landings. Guests should confirm the current equipment inventory, guide ratio, certification requirements and whether Nitrox or rental gear is included in the final charter quotation.

Published non-diving equipment includes kayaks, wakeboarding and water-ski equipment, fishing gear and snorkelling sets. This mix suits groups combining scuba diving with island visits, surface activities and relaxed cruising.

Indoor Lounge and Open-Air Living

The air-conditioned midship saloon includes a bar, seating and entertainment equipment. Above deck, shaded lounge and dining areas create a social centre for meals, while open areas are used for sunbathing and enjoying the yacht's sailing profile.

Komodo and Seasonal Indonesian Routes

Komodo programmes depart from Labuan Bajo and can combine Kelor, Manjarite, Kalong, Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo Island, Manta Point, Taka Makassar and Sebayur. Routes are adjusted for currents, weather, wildlife and national-park conditions.

Manta Mae is also marketed for seasonal voyages in Raja Ampat and other eastern Indonesian regions. Guests should confirm the vessel's exact position, embarkation port and any repositioning charge before arranging flights.

Pricing and Practical Notes

The current published starting charter rate is USD 4,200 per night. Dividing that headline rate by the maximum 12 guests gives a reference starting figure of USD 350 per person, but this is not an individual cabin fare. The charter total, minimum duration and seasonal supplements must be confirmed for the requested dates.

Published trip inclusions commonly cover accommodation, meals, drinking water, coffee and tea, a guide, documentation, snorkelling equipment, life vests and mainland airport or hotel transfers. National-park fees, flights, gratuities, personal expenses, snacks and separately ordered drinks are excluded.
