Pick-up runs eight to ten, later than most, so day one begins with lunch under way before Kelor for the trek and Manjarite to snorkel, finishing at Kalong for the flying foxes. Day two covers Padar at first light, Pink Beach, the Komodo Island dragon trek, Taka Makassar and Manta Point. Day three snorkels Siaba or Sebayur and returns to port by noon.

    About This Vessel

    Panrita is a 38-metre phinisi working Komodo National Park out of Labuan Bajo, and the specification that stands out is the tankage: 16,000 litres of fresh water against 8,000 litres of fuel, with two auxiliary generators running 24-hour electricity. For a boat this size that is a lot of water, and it shows in how freely showers and deck rinses are used.

    Seven cabins across three decks, twenty guests. The Suite Cabin sits on the main deck with a king bed plus a single, a private balcony and an outdoor bathtub. Two Master Cabins on the upper deck each take a king plus two singles, up to four guests, with their own balconies. Four Superior Cabins on the lower deck have queen beds and no outdoor space, sold either as doubles or as triples at the same per-person rate. All seven are ensuite.

    Selected Suite and Master Cabin shared offers allow extra guests at about $250 per person. Superior Triple cabins instead require three standard per-person fares; confirm the room allocation before booking.

    Mechanically she runs a Cummins Marine eight-cylinder of 270 hp at seven to ten knots, with Mitsubishi auxiliaries of 60 kVA and 40 kVA. Deck space covers a saloon, sundeck, leisure deck and both indoor and outdoor dining areas. Water activities are snorkelling, a canoe and a paddleboard. There is no dive centre or compressor on board.

      Shared 3D2N trips start at approximately $360 per person in the Superior Double Cabin. This is the fare for the full three-day, two-night trip, based on a minimum booking of 2 people in that cabin category. Extra-bed prices are separate.

      Private leisure charter starts at approximately $5,725 for the whole vessel on the minimum published 2D1N package, for 1–8 guests. Larger groups, longer trips and diving packages may have different rates.

    The Suite Cabin on the main deck, which pairs a king bed and a single with a private balcony and a bathtub outside. It is the only cabin on board with one, and at $585 per person it is also the most expensive.

    What is the difference between the Superior Double and Superior Triple?

    Only how many people go in. Both are the same lower-deck queen-bed cabin at $360 per person, one sold with a two-person minimum and the other with a three-person minimum. Booking three does not reduce the per-person rate.

    How much fresh water does she carry?
