    Sundari is a larger Komodo phinisi with eight ensuite guest cabins and a published leisure capacity of up to 20 guests. Unlike many boats in the same size band, Sundari is sold for both leisure cruising and dedicated diving programs. That matters when comparing the vessel: the same cabin inventory can support a mixed holiday group, but the operator package can also be configured around multiple guided dives per day.

    The accommodation is divided across master, signature ocean and deluxe balcony rooms, including private and shared options in the current cabin inventory.       Sundari is sold in both shared and private formats. Scheduled 3D2N leisure departures are sold by cabin, with the lowest current cabin fare displayed by KomodoInsider at about $350 per person. Private Komodo charters start at about $3,520 for the shortest published 2D1N whole-boat package. Dedicated diving programs use a separate rate structure and a lower operating guest count than the 20-person leisure maximum.

      Published packages include onboard accommodation, meals, drinking water, shore activities, snorkeling equipment and paddleboard use. Park entrance and ranger fees, flights, Labuan Bajo accommodation, insurance, alcoholic drinks, personal expenses, optional documentation and crew gratuities are excluded unless a specific departure states otherwise. Diving programs may also exclude personal dive equipment, dive insurance and courses.

    • Official public guidance does not state one universal refund or rescheduling rule for every reservation. Confirm the current SiOra terms in writing before the ticket is issued, including treatment of weather disruption.

    Statutory fees under Peraturan Pemerintah No. 36 Tahun 2024, in force since 30 October 2024.     Is Sundari a dive boat or a leisure charter?

    Both. Sundari is advertised for shared leisure departures, whole-vessel leisure charter and dedicated diving programs. The reference leisure packages include 3D2N shared trips and private charter from 2D1N. Diving packages have a separate rate card and lower operating capacity, so request the correct full-trip quote.

    What is on the dive deck?

    A dedicated dive deck with a camera table, rinsing tanks, freshwater showers and individual equipment storage. Two dinghies handle transfers and drops. The crew of nine includes a cruise director, a dive instructor, divemasters and an in-house underwater photographer.

    Which cabin should I book?

    The two Master Cabins are the reason to choose Sundari: private balcony, outdoor bathtub, television and Starlink. Below those, the two Signature Ocean cabins give the same sea view without the balcony, and four Deluxe Balcony cabins have a balcony but a smaller footprint. Two of the deluxe rooms are sold by the berth on diving departures.

    Can a solo traveller join?

    The vessel's own Instagram advertises leisure shared trips as well as private charter. Shared diving departures are also referenced. Ask which departures accept solo guests, which cabin is shared, the minimum booking and any sole-occupancy supplement.

    How many dives does a trip include?

    The 4D3N itinerary runs up to eleven dives including night dives, alongside Padar trekking, Pink Beach and the Komodo dragon walk. Longer 5-, 6- and 7-day trips carry proportionally more. The schedule is dense; guests can sit out a dive without penalty.

    When is the best time to dive with her?

    April to November the boat works the central and northern sites, which is the dry season and the classic Komodo current diving. December to March it shifts to central and southern Komodo, quieter, with better visibility and the stronger manta season.

    What is the boat actually like?

    A 34.6-metre ironwood and teak phinisi of 151 gross tons, 6.4 metres in the beam, running twin Mitsubishi engines at six to nine knots with two 32.5 kVA generators. She carries 11,000 litres of fresh water and 3,000 litres of fuel, and there are nine crew. All eight cabins are sea view with air conditioning and ensuite warm-water showers.

    What is not included in the fare?

    Dive insurance and the Komodo National Park fees are charged separately on the diving departures, as are dive courses. On the leisure charter, park entrance, ranger and trekking fees, flights, hotels, insurance, alcohol, documentation and crew gratuity all sit outside the fare.
